Brick Mold
Dublin Core
Title
Brick Mold
Description
A brick mold was used to shape natural resources into bricks. The tool's user would gather mud and/or clay, as well as possibly hog or horse hair (which acts as a binding agent), and have placed them into the wooden mold. Then the mold would have been left out in the sun for the mixture to harden. This particular mold would have made four bricks. The wooden panels of the brick mold do not join so that the bricks can be pushed out through the cracks.
